No resurgence of Ikhwani forces during my period: Omar

Jammu, Feb 26 (PTI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief MinisterOmar Abdullah today said that there will be no resurgence ofIkhwani forces or counter-insurgents during his rule inthe state.

"As long as I am here, there will be no resurgence ofIkhwani forces," Omar re-tweeted on micro-blogging siteTwitter.

Omar was replying to a tweet on his page by a Kashmiri''follower'' saying "CM tweeted few days back about Ikhwaniresurgence. Let Government re-assure the common Kashmiri onthis issue".

Omar further wrote: "I''m sure it will come up in theassembly, I''ll deal with it then. That''s the best place to setthe record straight.""But what are you worried about. In the last electionevery single Ikhwan candidate lost the election. Have faith inthe voter," Omar re-tweeted another Kashmiri youth on hisapprehensions.

"No, the state government is not supporting anythingof the sort," he asserted.
