National police band competition at Bhopal from March 1

Bhopal, Feb 26 (PTI) A five-day All-India Police BandCompetition, featuring bands from states, central policeorganisations and para-military forces, would be held herefrom March 1.

Additional Director General of Police for Special ArmedForce, Sukhraj Singh, told reporters that a total of 21 teamswith around 1200 participants would take part.

The ADGP said that prizes would be given for Best BrassBand, Best Pipe Band and Best Buglar Team.

A total of 10 trophies and 221 medals would be givenaway.

Singh said that apart from various state police forces,teams from the Vallabhbhai National Police Academy, Indo-TibetBorder Police, CRPF, BSF, and Railway Security Force will takepart in the competition.
