Leopard found dead in a tree

Hoshangabad (MP), Feb 25 (PTI) A leopard was founddead this evening near Amba Mai temple in Pachmari, the hillstation which houses the Satpura Tiger Reserve.

After the forest officials got the information, theSatpura Reserve Field Director N S Dongriyal and his deputy AK Nagar reached the spot and the leopard was brought down froma tree where it had been spotted dead.

The forest officials said that animal, around 18months old, must have climbed the tree after sustaininginjuries in a fight.

They said that the pug marks of another leopard werefound near the tree.

Things will be clear after the leopard''s post-mortem,they said.
