JK govt directs DDCs to dispose off land compensation cases
Jammu, Feb 26 (PTI) Jammu and Kashmir government hasdirected the District Development Commissioners (DDCs) toensure quick disposal of land compensation cases so thatprojects under execution could be completed within prescribedtime frame.
"We have directed the District DevelopmentCommissioners (DDCs) to ensure quick disposal of landcompensation cases so that projects under execution,especially in Road and Building sector, could be completedwithin prescribed time frame," Minister for Revenue, Reliefand Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla said while chairing a highlevel meeting of officers here today.
Bhalla stressed on expeditious assessment of actualamount of acquired land and other details so that thecompensation is distributed in time.
Regarding regularisation of Shri Chichi Mata templeland under Roshni Act in Samba district, the meeting wasinformed that the district administration has sorted out thematter and regularised 27 kanals (3 acres) of state landvesting ownership rights to Chichi Mata Temple trust.
