CBI team to take over Keshari murder case tomorrow

Purnia, Feb 25 (PTI) A CBI team will arrive heretomorrow to take over the investigation of the sensationalmurder of BJP MLA Raj Kishore Keshari.

Purnia superintendent of police Amit Lodha told newsmenhere today the CBI team would be headed by deputysuperintendent of police B B Bhatt as per an intimationfrom the central invstigating agency''s headquarters in NewDelhi.

Keshari was stabbed to death by Rupam Pathak at the hishouse here on January 4.

Police had arrested school principal Rupam Pathak, whoallegedly knifed the MLA to death and filed a murder caseagainst her.

A local journalist Nawalesh Pathak was also arrestedand charged with conspiring with Rupam in the murder of theBJP MLA.

Alleging sexual harassment by the late BJP MLA, Rupamand her family members had demanded a CBI probe in the murdercase.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had subsequentlyrecommended a CBI probe in the BJP MLA murder. PTI COR KDK KK
