Car rally to promote safe driving

Kolkata, Feb 26 (PTI) To spread the social message of�safe driving�, a convoy of nearly 200 cars would traverse onthe streets of Kolkata at an educative car rally tomorrow.

Led by a fleet of Kolkata Traffic Police outriders, theconvoy shall be kicked off from Town Hall for the 6 km longrally, which is being organised by the State Bank of India andGuide India Publications.

�The main objective of this event is to create awarenessamong the motorists of Kolkata on crucial issues of safedriving, lane discipline and adhering to traffic rules andregulation through the medium of a fun-filled event,� saidSouvik Ghosh, event convener.

To add on to the fun element, the cars shall alsoparticipate in a specially designed �car treasure andscavenger hunt�.

Besides city motorists, some celebrities are alsoexpected to drive during the rally. PTI NIK
