3 more arrested in Barasat eve-teasing case
Kolkata, Feb 26 (PTI) Three more persons were arrestedtoday in connection with the murder of 16-year-old Rajib Das,who was stabbed to death by drunken youths in Barasat town ofNorth 24-Parganas district when he tried to save his sisterfrom being molested.
Mithun Das, Biswanath Bhattacharyay and Monojit Biswaswere arrested from Madhyamgram in North 24-Parganas districtand three mobile phones were seized from their possession,CID''s Special IG II Anuj Sharma said.
The interrogation Chandan Roy, another suspectarrested from Habra in the district on February 17, has led tothe arrest of the trio, he said.
Around the midnight of February 14, Rajib was killedallegedly by the youths, who were in inebriated state, whiletrying to ward off their advances towards his sister, when hewas escorting her back home from work.
Sharma claimed the investigation agency has crackedthe case by the arresting all the suspects.
