Youth Congress leader murdered, tension in Bikaner

Bikaner, Feb 24 (PTI) Murder of the local YouthCongress president today in Gangashahar here instigatedcity-wide protests with residents, led by the party members,blocking several roads and ransacking shops.

"Ramkishan Sihag was shot dead in front of his houseby four unidentified persons who were in a Bolero car. Itsparked tension in the area and locals blocked several roadsincluding Bikaner-Jodhpur highway, KEM road, Ranbazar andransacked few shops," police said.

The victim was the Youth Congress president of Bikanerparliamentary constituency .

Several people led by local youth congress leadersstaged demonstration at Amberdkar circle and PBM, demandingimmediate arrest of the suspects and suspension of SHOGangashahar Vishnudutt.

Additional police personnel have been deployed tobring the situation in order, they said, adding that effortsare on to identify and nab the suspects.
