Youth create ruckus over death of two students in accident

Ghazipur, Feb 24 (PTI) Agitated over the death of twostudents in an accident, youths today went on a rampage,blocking Varanasi-Gorakhpur highway and damaging severalvehicles including roadways buses.

Two students Kushwant (14) and Ankit Prajapati (15) werekilled when the jeep in which they were travelling was hit bya truck near Atraulia village last evening, police sourcessaid.

The incident occured when the students of Shaheed SmarakInter College were returning from a scouts and guides camp,they said.

Agitated over the incident, students of the collegecreated ruckus on Varanasi-Gorakhpur highway, hurling stonesand damaging several vehicles, including two state-owned buseswhile demanding Rs 10 lakh as compensation to the kin of thevictims.

Officials later pacified the agitating students and gotthe road cleared.
