Uma Bharti wants to meet Sadhvi Pragya, Malegaon blast accused
Bhopal, Feb 24 (PTI) Firebrand former BJP leader UmaBharti wishes to meet Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, a primeaccused in the Malegaon blast case, currently in prison.
Bharti''s lawyer, Sudhakar Dwivedi, has written toPragya''s lawyer Bal Desai in this regard.
"Kindly make arrangements as per legal procedure for myclient''s meeting with your client," advocate Dwivedi stated inthe letter, released to the media here.
When Sadhvi Pragya was being treated for spinal problemsat Ayurveda Seva Sangh Hospital in Nashik last year, Bharti, aformer Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, had reportedly visitedher.
After Pragya Singh was arrested in connection withMalegaon blast, Bharti, in October 2008, had said that Pragyahad been a disciple of Maharaj Avdesh Anand and there was noway in which she could be a part of any violent activity.
She had alleged that it was a conspiracy to defameHindutva forces, and Sadhvi would be found innocenteventually.
