TN govt announces relief for deceased''s family
Chennai, Feb 24 (PTI) The Tamil Nadu government todayannounced a relief of Rs one lakh to the family of a personwho died in an accident in Libya.
Chief Minister M Karunanidhi directed that the sum bepaid to Murugiah''s family from the Chief Minister''s GeneralRelief Fund, an official press release said.
He also expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
While the External Affairs Ministry had said Murugiah waskilled in an accident in the African country, his family has,however, claimed that he was killed during the ongoinganti-government protests.
