PAC firing: UPCC chief meets injured farmers
Greater Noida, Feb 22 (PTI) Uttar Pradesh Congress chiefRita Bahuguna Joshi today met the farmers injured in policefiring at Bhatta Parsol village here.
She extended support to the farmers and demanded actionagainst the officials responsible for the firing.
Six farmers were yesterday injured when Provincial ArmedConstabulary (PAC) personnel fired at farmers, who were ondharna since Janaury 17 over land acquisition.
BJP leader and Rajnath Singh''s son Pankaj Singh andleaders from Samajwadi and other parties also visited theinjured farmers at the Kailash hospital.
Meanwhile, new SSP S N Singh rushed to the firing site,while District Magistrate Deepak Aggarwal was supervising theplan to settle the issue.
