Youth''s death sparks violence

Sant Kabir Nagar (UP), Feb 21 (PTI) Furious over thedeath of an 18-year-old youth in a road accident, locals todaywent on a rampage torching vehicles, including a police jeep,in Ghanghat area here today.

The youth was killed after he was hit by a car inMuthayi village, SP Vijay Kumar Garg said.

The villagers chased the car, brought it to halt andthrashed its occupants, he said adding the protesters laterset afire four vehicles, including a police jeep.

The service revolver of a police officer was foundmissing after the violence, the SP said.
