Two drug peddlers arrested in central Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 21 (PTI) Two alleged drug peddlers havebeen arrested and over 150 kgs of contraband substancerecovered from their possession in central Kashmir''s Budgamdistrict.

One of the arrested persons, identified as Muzaffar AhmadRather of Chadoora is a "notorious drug peddler" and 150 kgsof poppy straw was recovered from him, a police spokesmansaid.

Rather has been arrested under relevant sections ofNarcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, the spokesmansaid.

He said another person identified as Ghulam Mohammad Darof Beerwah in Budgam was arrested and 250 grams of canabisrecovered from his possession.
