Three arrested on dacoity bid

Berhampur (Orissa), Feb 21 (PTI) With the arrestof three persons and seizure of firearms from them, the policetoday claimed to have foiled a major dacoity here.

One of those arrested from Suraj Bihar area last nightwas also allegedly involved in Rabindra Behera alias ChickenRabi murder case in January 1 last year, the police said.

"The arrest was made when the miscreants were planninga major dacoity," inspector in-charge (town) police station, SS Mohapatra, said.

A country-made gun, some cartridges, crude bombs anda sword were seized from them, he said.
