MP Assembly adjourned after paying tributes to departed souls

Bhopal, Feb 22 (PTI) The Madhya Pradesh Assembly wasadjourned today after paying tributes to Congress MLA RatneshSoloman and ten others including former Kerala Chief MinisterK Karunakaran, former Lok Sabha Speaker Balram Bhagat,legendary vocalist Bhimsen Joshi and former State AssemblyDeputy Speaker Pyarelal Kanwar.

Those who paid tributes to the departed souls, led byChief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan included acting Leader ofOpposition Chowdhary Rakesh Singh Chaturvedi, Laxman Tiwariand Neera Yadav of the Samajwadi Party.

All of them hailed the role played by these leaders andprayed for peace.

Later, members stood in silence for two minutes as a markof respect following which the House was adjourned tilltomorrow as a mark of respect to them.
