Chaibasa (Jharkhand), Feb 22 (PTI) Four miscreantstoday looted Rs 6.86 lakh from the Union Bank of India inChaibasa, the district headquarter of West Singhbhum, heretoday.
Laced with fire-arm, four unidentified persons enteredthe bank, situated yards away from the Deputy Commissioner andpolice superintendent�s office, threatened the staff at gunpoint forcing the cashier to remove the cash from the chest,superintendent of police A K Singh told newsmen.
The incident took place when the bank had not evenstarted its transaction with some employees yet to report fortheir duty.
After committing the crime, the miscreants escaped withthe booty in two motorcycles in two different direction tomislead the police, he said.
