Mob set police station afire in Bihar
Bhabhua (Bihar), Feb 22 (PTI) An irate mob today seton fire a police station while protesting against a trader''smurder in Bihar''s Kaimur district even as police opened fireon the protesters injuring one of them, official sources said.
During their agitation against the yesterday''s murder,the mob vented their ire on Mohania police station by settingit on fire and burning ten vehicles, including a police jeep,the sources said.
The protesters also pelted stones on the vehicle ofthe Superintendent of Police Umashankar Singh Sudhansu.
Sensing that the situation was getting out of control,the policemen opened fire on the crowd injuring Sonu Jaiswal,they said.
Additional police personnel have been deployed inMohania township to maintain law and order, the sources added.
Details of the damage at the police station is yet tobe ascertained.
