Manipur assembly session from March 8

Imphal, Feb 22 (PTI) The budget session of Manipurassembly will begin from March 8, state assembly secretariatsources said today.

Governor Gurbachan Jagat summoned the assembly sessionfollowing a state cabinet decision recently and an order tothis effect was issued yesterday.

The present law and order problem, kidnappings andkillings of persons for ransom by different militant outfits,militancy-related problems and other development programmeswould be discussed during the session, sources said.

The business advisory committee of the assembly wouldmeet here on February 25 to decide the number of days of thesession and issues of discussion, sources said.
