Eight persons arrested for planning robberies

Faridabad, Feb 21 (PTI) Eight persons were arrested todayfrom different locations in the district and sharp weaponswere recovered from their possession while they were allegedlyplanning robberies, police said.

After getting a tip-off, police arrested three personsfrom Mohana Yamuna Bridge when they were planning to loot thecommuters, they said.

The accused were identified as Ejajulhaq, Sabir and Abidand a knife and iron rods were recovered from them, the policesaid.

Meanwhile, five persons were arrested from Huda Park inSector-21A while they were planning to burgle a house. Twoknives, a screwdriver and an iron rod were recovered fromthem, the police said.

Further probe is on into the matter, they said.
