Copra drops on sluggish demand, good supply

Mumbai, Feb 22 (PTI) Copra prices dropped further at thespices market here today due to subdued demand from stockistsand bulk traders coupled with adequate supply positions.

Copra Rajapur Mumbai fell by another Rs 200 per quintalto Rs 8,000 from Monday''s closing level of Rs 8,200 and copraoffice Alapuzha slipped by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 6,700 asagainst Rs 6,800 previously.

Copra edible Mumbai also moved down by Rs 50 per quintalto Rs 7,700 as compared to Rs 7,750 yesterday.

Meanwhile, rest of the spices closed stable in theabsence of necessary buying support.
