3 hospital staff sent to judicial custody for death of infants
Patiala, Feb 21 (PTI) Three hospital staff, includinga doctor, has been remanded in judicial custody for three daysin connection with the death of six infants in 2009 in anincubator after a fire broke out.
A local court today sent three employees of RajindraHospital -- HoD of paediatrics Dr K K Lochan, nurse Rita Kaurand a class IV employee Satya -- to judicial custody afterthey were arrested late last night. They were held guilty in ainquiry report of Superintendent of Police (operation) S SBoparai.
The three were arrested last last night after a casewas registered against them for alleged negligence undersection 304 of IPC in connection with the fire on January 2009at Rajindra hospital, where six infants were burnt to death ina fire that broke out in the phototherapy ward.
