Left front will retain power in Kerala and West Bengal:FB
Kannur, Feb 20 (PTI): Forward Bloc today claimed that theruling Left Front would return to power in both Kerala andWest Bengal, where elections are due in May this year.
Speaking to mediapersons here, FB National Secretary GDevaraj said corruption indulged in during the previous UDFrule in Kerala was now coming out in the open with the arrestand punishment of some persons.
In West Bengal, people have become aware that TrinamoolCongress have with the Maoists, he said.
He said all those who indulge in corruption while in powershould not only be punished, but steps taken to recover theill gotten gains from them.
Devarajan said the ruling Left Democratic Front in Keralahas assured them that the party would be taken in as an LDFconstituent after completion of its ongoing state-wide''Vikasana Munnetta jatha''.
He said the party would demand six seats for the polls.
Devarajan said Forward Bloc''s two-day state council meetwould be held at Ernakulam from February 26. West BengalAgricultural minister Narain Dey is expected to attend themeeting, he said.
