International Trade Centre remains a distant dream for Jammu and Kashmir traders
Pampore (Jammu and Kashmir), Feb 20(ANI): The much-anticipated project of setting up of an International Trade Centre in Jammu and Kashmir's Pampore town is still its initial stage, irking the locals as well as traders in the valley who have pined all their dreams in the project.
The locals have almost lost their hope in the project, and blame the state government for not taking any initiative towards the project.
"It has been three years and the site is still remaining in the same stage as when the foundation stone has been laid down. Only that foundation has been done and no step has been taken in its progress," said Khurshid Ahmad, a local.
The project is expected to pose great help to the traders by boosting the trading activities of the region and would encompass all business and corporate offices with in the centre.
"If this project comes, it would be of great help for us. We hope this would come soon so that we could take benefits out of it," said Moulvi waqar, another local.
The state government says that the notices for the construction have been issued, and the work will start in April. (ANI)
