DMK to receive applications for polls from February 23
Chennai, Feb 20 (PTI): The DMK today announced that it willreceive applications from candidates aspiring to contest thecoming assemby elections for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry fromFebruary 23 to March 7.
Party general secretary K Anbazhagan said if a constituencywas allotted to an alliance member the aspirant had appliedfor, the money would be refunded.
The DMK-led Democratic Progressive Alliance (DPA) has theCongress, PMK and VCK in its fold.
Candidates for general constituency should pay Rs 5,000while it would be Rs 3,500 for reserved constituencies andwomen aspirants, he said in a statement here.
The assembly elections are due in May.
