JPC probe in 2G scam confirmed, say sources

However, sources informed that for the first time, all party meeting has reached to a consensus on Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe.
Sources also informed that telecom minister Kapil Sibal will move motion in Parliament on Feb 22.
It seems that the Congress led UPA government can now heave a sigh of relief after the decision during today's all party meeting.
Opposition parties demand over JPC inquiry in 2G scam had paralised the entire winter session in Nov 2010. Now, the government cling to have a successful Budget session which will begin from Monday, Feb 21.
Former telecom minister A Raja and three more persons have been so far arrested in 2G spectrum scam over their alleged roles.
However, government sources confirmed that JPC investigation will be initiated only in 2G scam and not in other scams like CWG or Adarsh Housing scam.
