Wife loses patience with alcholic hubby; sets him on fire

Thanjavur,Feb17 (PTI) Irked over her alcholic husband''sbehaviour, a 28-year-old woman allegedly set him ablaze hereusing kerosene, police said today.

The couple had married in 2006 and have two children.

The woman was upset with her husband Jesuraj''s addiction toliquor and the quarrels over the issue. She had lodged acomplaint against him earlier and he was arrested. He wasreleased from jail only recently.

Following relatives'' intervention, the two had patched up,police said but Jesuraj never gave up drinking, police said.

Last night, when Jesuraj came home drunk and picked up aquarrel, the woman allegedly poured kerosene on him and sethim on fire,sources said.

Jesuraj with severe burns was admitted to the ThanjavurMedical College Hospital, police said.

The woman is absconding.
