Soni takes a dig at Advani: ''I thought he had retired''
New Delhi, Feb 18 (PTI) Union Minister Ambika Soni todaytook a dig at senior BJP leader L K Advani for his apology toCongress President Sonia Gandhi over a BJP-appointed taskforce report on Swiss bank accounts, saying she thought he"had retired".
"I thought Mr Advani has retired some time back and leftspace for younger people like Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitleywho are now occupying two positions of leaders of Houses," shetold reporters here on the sidelines of a function here.
The Congress leader was asked about her reaction toAdvani apologising to Gandhi for a party-appointed task forcereport, which had alleged that she and her late husband Rajivhad accounts in Swiss banks.
"Mr Advani has been making a statement every day ondifferent subjects... probably he not having enough study ofwhat he is saying," she said.
BJP had appointed the task force on unravelling theamount of black money stashed by Indians in foreign banks andways to bring it back. The report had alleged that SoniaGandhi and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi were amongIndians who held Swiss bank accounts.
