Pak troops fire on Indian posts along LoC

Jammu, Feb 17 (PTI) In yet another incident ofceasefire violation along the LoC, Pakistani troops tonightfired rocket-propelled grenades on Indian posts in Jammu andKashmir''s Poonch district drawing retaliation from Indianforces.

There was, however, no casualty.

"Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire. They firedRPGs and opened indiscriminate firing on Indian posts inBalnoi forward area in Krishnaghati sector of Poonch districtaround 1930 hours," a senior Army Officer of 16 Corps toldPTI.

The indiscriminate firing continued for five minutes,he said, adding, Indian troops retaliated.

"It later stopped. There was no casualty or injury toanyone in the Pakistani firing and grenade attacks," he said.

Indian Army has registered a strong protest with theirPakistani counterpart over ceasefire violation via hotline,the officer said.
