My aim is to see a disease free nations: Ramdev

Itanagar, Feb 18 (PTI) ''Yoga guru'' Swami Ramdev said "hisaim is to see a disease free nation with the help of Yoga."

"Self control and meditation are the ways to selfrealization," Ramdev said while addressing people at the yogashibir in border district of the Tawang yesterday, officialsources said here today.

The ''Yoga guru'' termed the people of Arunachal Pradeshas "peace-loving, religious and dedicated to nation building"and said he has a special attachment to them.

Ramdev, who reached Tawang, bordering China yesterdayafternoon from Itanagar, visited the Tawang Monastery and thewar memorial. He paid rich homage to the martyrs of the 1962Indo-China war and hailed the services of the Army, sourcesdisclosed.

Abbot of Tawang Monastery Rev Guru Tulka Rimpoche, whoalso participated in the yoga shivir, spoke about the place ofyoga in Buddhism and expressed appreciation for Ramdev forreviving the age-old yoga practices in a more scientific wayto make it appealing to the masses.
