Infosys techie jumps to death

Hyderabad, Feb 18 (PTI) A 23-year-old female softwareengineer working with Infosys at Gachibowli here allegedlycommitted suicide by jumping from a multi-storeyed building inher office campus, police said.

Sahiti Vyasam, employed with Infosys since 2009 jumpedfrom the fourth floor of a building in the parking blocklocated on its campus and died on her way to a nearbyhospital, Raidurgam Inspector of Police M Ravichandan Reddytold PTI.

Sahiti was a resident of L B Nagar here, the policeofficer said adding investigations are on and cops would speakto her parents and colleagues regarding the incident.

When asked if any suicide note was found, Reddy said thecase was in preliminary stage of investigation. The reasonsfor her resorting to the extreme step were still not known.

Sahiti''s body was shifted to Osmania General Hospitalmortuary for conducting postmortem, Reddy said.

A labourer from Orrisa identified as Lamodar Rao, wasinjured in the incident as the techie fell on him after sheleaped from the building, police said.
