3 injured in scuffle during eve-teasing discussion
Barasat (WB), Feb 17 (PTI) At least three persons wereinjured this evening when two groups of people scuffled duringa discussion organised by a Bengali private news channel onthe death of Rajib Das who was brutally killed when he went tosave his sister from being molested here.
"Three persons were injured in the scuffle among theaudience by the end of the programme where representatives ofthe political parties and locals were engaged in a heateddiscussion at Kachari Maidan this evening," OC of Barasatpolice station Subir Chowdhury said.
Rajib was killed by drunk youths near Kachari Maidanon Tuesday when he went to save his sister from being molestedby them.
Claiming that six students belonging to CPI-M''sstudent wing of SFI were injured in the clash, local CPI-Mleader Amitava Basu said they have called 24-hour studentsstrike in North 24-Parganas district.
