Nitish praises Chidambaram for determination to solve problems
New Delhi, Feb 15 (PTI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumarwas today all praise for Home Minister P Chidambaram for hisdetermination to tackle crime despite differences between thetwo leaders in their approach and emphasis.
"We might have difference of opinion and differences inapproach and emphasis but as far as Chidambaram Sahab isconcerned, nobody can doubt his determination, zeal and willpower to tackle problems. He can take anybody head-on," Kumarsaid after receiving the NDTV Indian of the Year award here.
The Bihar Chief Minister also praised the Centre forworking towards modernisation of the state police forces.
"Government of India is working towards modernisation ofpolice forces," Kumar said.
Asked how he worked towards improving the law and ordersituation in Bihar, he said, "You need strong will power to dothat."
On whether he was feeling uncomfortable with his alliancepartner BJP, he said, "In Bihar, we don''t find any problems."PTI AD AJD
