Gehlot visits family of man who misbehaved with him

Jodhpur, Feb 15 (PTI) A day after a man misbehaved withRajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot during a public hearingat his residence due to the police''s alleged negligence to hiscomplaint, the leader visited the aggrieved''s wife here today.

Gehlot paid a visit to the estranged wife andmother-in-law of Khiyan Ram Meghwal, who had tried tomanhandle the chief minister in Jaipur yesterday alleging thatthough he had filed a complaint with the police after his wifeleft him under the influence of a ''tantrik'', no action wastaken by them.

Gehlot announced an ex-gratia relief of Rs 50,000 fromthe Chief Minister''s Relief Fund for the welfare of the familycomprising eight children and living in utter poverty.

The chief minister was in the city to visit Lavarivillage which lost 25 of its residents in a road accident inNagaur district yesterday.

Gehlot met the families of the deceased and the injuredvictims who have been admitted in MDM Hospital here.

Meanwhile, police have completed the investigation intothe complaint filed by Meghwal. SHO, Pratap Nagar, RajendraDiwaker said a report was submitted to the SP today.
