Woman kills drunkard hubby, before suicide

Rajkot, Feb 15: Enraged over her husband's drinking habit, a woman here killed him as also their daughter by setting them ablaze and later herself committed suicide, police said here today.

The incident took place last night in Kuvadava road area of the city when Sangeetha allegedly set her husband Nitin and one and half year daughter Jagruti ablaze and later torched herself, police said.

The trio sustained serious burn injuries and died in a civil hospital, police said.

Primary investigations revealed that Nitin was used to consume liquor at home which enraged Sangeetha and possibly prompted her to take the extreme step.

Police have registered the case and further investigation was on.
