Rs 10,000 crore black money begotten daily in India: Joginder

Indore, Feb 14 (PTI) Asserting that strong will on thepart of the government was needed to put a check on ill-gottenwealth, former CBI director Joginder Singh today saidcorruption was breeding about Rs 10,000 crore black moneydaily in the country.

"Be it an issue of black money or corruption. The firstneed is will power. Until the government exhibits will power,nothing will happen," Singh told reporters after a functionhere.

"According to my estimate at least Rs 10,000 crore blackmoney is generated daily. This entire money is of corruption,"he said.

Advocating independence of the CBI akin to that of theElection Commission, he said that the Central agency has towait for government''s approval at every stage.
