Medical students protest fearing closure of institute

Ghaziabad, Feb 15 (PTI) Students of a dental collegehere protested outside the residence of its chairman fearingclosure of the institute, police said today.

Students of Krishna Dental College protested outsidethe residence of the Chairman Atul Garg last night and chargedthe management of the institute of not abiding by the elevenmandatory conditions listed out by Dental Council of India(DCI), they said.

The future of the students is in a limbo as the DCIhas already cancelled affiliation of the institute for notfulfilling the mandatory prerequisites.

The students called off the protest only after theintervention of SSP Raghubir Lal, who assured them of helpingin registering complaints against the concerned persons, ifneeded.
