''Army will not take part in anti-Naxal operations in Bastar''
Raipur, Feb 15 (PTI) Though the Army is setting up atraining centre in Bastar, it has no intention to take part inanti-Naxal operations there, a top officer said today.
Lieutenant General V K Ahluwalia, General OfficerCommanding In Chief told reporters here that Chhattisgarhgovernment offered land to the Army where it was setting up atraining centre.
"It is for training purposes only," he said, adding Armywould not be involved in anti-Naxal campaigns as it consideredNaxals to be Indian citizens.
When asked how would the Army react if the outlawsattacked the training facility, he said Army knew how to dealwith such situations.
