Payal Abdullah dances to tunes of Kashmiri music in Jammu

Jammu, Feb 13 (PTI) The spectators at a public policemela here were taken by surprise when Payal Abdullah -- wifeof Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah danced tothe tunes of traditional Kashmiri music.

After the inauguration of the mela in the city, Payal waswatching a cultural programme when one of the dancersperforming ''Rouf'' (traditional Kashmiri dance) extendedher hand to the chief minister''s wife, who surprisingly cameforward to join the group.

She danced to the tunes of ''Rindha fulliyo lo galabo hoo''along with half a dozen women, drawing huge applause andcheers from public, including the CM himself.

Appreciating the spirit behind holding these kinds ofmelas for the welfare of the families of police martyrs, OmarAbdullah today said that solidarity and sympathy with thepolice martyrs families should be the prime concern.
