One more arrested for illicit liquor trade

Jodhpur, Feb 11 (PTI) In a crack down against illicitliquor trade, Special Operation Group today arrested one moreperson following the ongoing investigation triggered by thehooch tragedy, which claimed 12 lives in Jodhpur.

Om Pakash Jakhar, who was arrested by the SOG today in ajoint operation with the local police, had the task ofproviding the spirit to the main accused Kalu Ram Bishnoi, whohas already been arrested by the SOG, for making the liquor.

According to the details revealed by the SOG so farduring his interrogation, Jakhar used to provide spirit toBishnoi and paid the spirit seller through hawala.

During this deal, Jakhar used to play a guaranteer,making sure the timely delivery of spirit to Bishnoi, who usedto store it in the tankers buried in his house in Khejadlivillage for making the liquor.

This is third arrest by the SOG following the operationagainst the illicit liquor trade, which has been thriving inand around Jodhpur for quite some time.
