Noida residents protest hike in toll rates

Noida, Feb 11 (PTI) Federation of Noida ResidentsWelfare Association (FONRWA) today threatened to launch aprotest agitation if the new rates of the DND Flyway are notrolled back.

"We have written to UP Chief Minister Mayawati totakeover the DND Flyway and make it toll free," FONRWApresident N P Singh said.

The DND Flyway has announced the hike of toll rates,which will be effective from February 14 midnight.

The toll rate for car has been hiked from Rs 20 to Rs25, while the rate for two-wheelers remains the same. Also,toll rates of commercial vehicles and buses have been hiked byaround 25 per cent.
