Father of PSI in PM''s SPG traced, two arrested

Nashik, Feb 11 (PTI) Police today traced the father ofa Police Sub Inspector in Prime Minister''s SPG, who waskidnapped from Jounpur district in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.

Two persons have been arrested in connection with thecase this evening, Deputy Superintendent of Police P R Patiltold reporters tonight.

Shyamlal Bhageruram, father of PSI Rajshekhar whoworks in the Special Protection Group of the Prime MinisterManmohan Singh, was kidnapped from Jounpur district in UttarPradesh on February 9 for extortion purpose and was beingtaken to Mumbai.

Patil said the police got information on Shyamlal''skidnapping and that the kidnappers were taking him to Mumbaivia Nashik.

The police were checking vehicles when they spotteda silver coloured zylo car near a dhaba at Ghoti borderingThane district in which kidnapped Shyamlal and two personswere travelling.

Shyamlal told the police that he was kidnapped fromUtter Pradesh by Rajiv Mourya and Deepak Patel who were in thecar. Police have recovered a fake pistol and five mobiles fromthe duo.

Meanwhile, a police team from Uttar Pradesh reachedGhoti and identified Shyamlal. Mourya and Patel who werearrested by the Nashik police were handed over to UttarPradesh police, Patil added.
