CRPF launches programme to win people''s confidence
Rourkela, Feb 12 (PTI) In a bid to win the confidence ofpeople living in remote Maoist infested areas of Orissa''sSundargarh district and wean them away from adopting the pathof extremism, CRPF launched a civic action programme heretoday.
Under the programme 16 boys will be given professionalmotor driving training for 45 days. CPRF will help them inrecruitment.
A total 16 girls have also been selected from theinterior areas and will be given 45 days training intailoring. After completion of training they will be providedwith sewing machines, CRPF Commander M.L. Ravindra said heretoday.
They have been selected from Chandiposh, Ramjodi,Gaityjharan and Bhalulata villages and the entire expenditureincluding their 45 days'' accommodation and fooding will beborne by CRPF, he said.
The programme was inaugurated by Y Jethua, DIG westernrange, Rourkela.
