''Chouhan''s fast, a ploy to divert attention from other issues''

Bhopal, Feb 12 (PTI) Senior Congress MLA Ajay Singh saidhere today that Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj SinghChouhan was undertaking a fast from tomorrow in protestagainst the Centre, merely to divert the people''s attentionfrom other pressing issues.

"If anyone wants to learn how to divert the people''sattention from various issues, he should attend a classconducted by Chouhan," Ajay told PTI.

The Congress leader said that the CM appeared not to beworried about farmers'' suicides in the state and only wantedto score points against the Centre.

He said that right now the state government was unableto distribute to farmers the funds available with it andadded that the money given to Agriculture Department hadalso not been utilised fully.

"Under these circumstances, there was no logic behindthe Chief Minister''s decision to go on a fast from tomorrow,"Ajay said.

Chouhan will go fasting from tomorrow to protest themanner in which the Centre is neglecting genuine demands ofMadhya Pradesh and if the Centre fails to release the specialrelief package sought for frost-affected farmers in the state.
