Castorseeds futures flare up on strong demand

Mumbai, Feb 12 (PTI) Castorseeds futures continued torally in an otherwise lacklustre oils and oilseeds markethere today due to heavy stockists buying coupled with massivespeculative buildup.

Meanwhile, edible and non-edible segment witnessed astable trend in the absence of any worthwhile buying activityand settled at overnight levels.

In the futures section, castorseeds for March deliveryresumed higher at Rs 5,475 and shot up to conclude atRs 5,570 from Friday''s closing level of Rs 5,413, disclosing asteep gain of Rs 157 per tonne.

However, Groundnut oil, refined palmolein, castorseedsbold, castoroil commercial and linseed oil all closedunchanged at Rs 765, Rs 608, Rs 6,000, Rs 1,230 and Rs 710,respectively.
