Bansal inaugurates conference on paediatrics

Chandigarh, Feb 11 (PTI) Paediatric-orthopaedics is a wellestablished sub-speciality of orthopaedic surgery and hasgrown rapidly in the last few decades, Union Minister forParliamentary Affairs, Science and Technology P K Bansal todaysaid.

"The growth and development in children it is, at times,disrupted by injuries, birth malfunctions, neurologicaldisorders, or bone infections, it is crucial that these aretreated by an expert as soon as possible," he said.

Bansal was speaking at the inauguration of the 17th AnnualConference of the Paediatric Orthopaedic Society of India atthe Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) here. PTIVJ
