Three persons killed when making landmine

Medininagar (Jharkhand), Feb 11 (PTI) Three personsincluding a woman were killed today in an explosion at Manatuin Palamu district.

"The explosion took place at Sarguja village when thevictims were producing landmine and can-bombs in the house ofBirju Turi, an alleged sympathiser of Maoists," DeputySuperintendent of Police Surdarshan Mandal said.

He said the roof and walls of the house were blown upby the impact of the blast.

Three persons including Birju''s wife were killed onthe spot, he said adding that the identity of the two victimswas yet to be established.

The police have launched a search operation to arrestthe kingpin.

The incident had taken place barely 5 km from Manatupolice station.
