Technical fault forces LCH to cut short air display

Bangalore, Feb 10 (PTI) A technical fault forced thehome-grown Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) to cut short itsflying display at Aero India 2011 at Yelahanka Air Force basehere today.

An official of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited which builtthe prototype of LCH, said during a flight, the pilot observed"a kind of noise" and brought down the helicopter as aprecautionary measure.

"It will be studied and data will be analysed tomorrow,"the HAL official said, adding, "We are hopeful that LCH willresume flights day after tomorrow."

LCH was slated to perform short flights on all five daysof the air show.
