Shiv Sena''s Rahul Narvekar files nomination for Council bypoll

Mumbai, Feb 11 (PTI) Rahul Narvekar, spokesperson ofYuva Sena, the youth wing of Shiv Sena, today filed nominationfor the Maharashtra Legislative Council by-poll scheduled forFebruary 21.

Council has two vacancies, following the death ofNCP MLC Vasant Pawar, and the resignation of Shiv Sena MLCKiran Pawaskar who later joined NCP.

Sena group leader in the Council, Diwakar Raote, andMLA Ravindra Waikar accompanied Narvekar when he filed thenomination today.

NCP has already nominated Pawaskar as its candidatefor this seat.

Election for the other seat -- Nashik local bodiesconstituency -- will be held on February 28. PTI SSG KRK
