BJP for reservation of seats for PoK refugees in JK Assembly

Jammu, Feb 10 (PTI) The BJP today said it will raise theissue of reservation of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly seats forrefugees of Pakistan occupied Kashmir in the state Assemblysession, beginning February 28.

"BJP will raise the issue of PoK reservation inAssembly," leader of the BJP legislative party in JK AssemblyChaman Lal Gupta told reporters here.

He alleged that the ruling NC-Congress has failed toexplain why the refugees from Pakistan, mostly lower castesand families belonging to backward classes, have been deniedcitizenship rights even after 63 years of their stay in thestate.
